USC Undergraduate Students

Through a business class at USC, a group of 9 undergraduate students traveled to Mozambique to learn about aid in Africa and the sustainable solutions in place by The African Millennium Foundation.

USC Professor Sandra Chrystal has been a strong advocate for AMF’s efforts for many years. By implementing related projects in the classroom, she inspires college students to grow in their roles as informed global citizens. The work completed in the classroom relates to current AMF projects and when possible is put directly into action.

“Suppose I have come by a fair amount of wealth…. I must know that all that wealth does not belong to me. What belongs to me is the right to an honorable livelihood, no better than that enjoyed by millions of others. The rest of my wealth belongs to the community and must be used for the welfare of the community.”
- Mahatma Gandhi

“We can be the generation that no longer accepts that an accident of latitude determines whether a child lives or dies- but will we be that generation? Will we in the West realize our potential or will we sleep in the comfort of our affluence with apathy and indifference murmuring softly in our ears?”
- Bono
